BACKGROUND
We address key issues affecting young vulnerable women the community.
Visionary Lady Foundation (VLF) is a registered non-profit, non-partisan community based development Organisation with an aim of addressing the key issues that leave young women marginalized and youth vulnerable in the community.
VLF Programs apply a feminist human rights and evidence based approach to challenge the status quo of inequalities and discrimination against young women and adolescent girls at various levels. The mandate of VLF therefore is to provide a holistic program that addresses critical needs of adolescents especially girls and young women while putting greater emphasis on ending teenage pregnancy, MHM, Child Marriages and supporting girls in and out of school.
VLF Program areas fall under four thematic areas:
- Girl Education,
- Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights,
- Sustainable Livelihood/Economic empowerment of girls & Child mothers in and out of school,
- Leadership & Governance
1. Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights and Family Planning
- Creating awareness and Information Sharing on SRHR
- Reproductive Health & Rights situation room
- Menstrual Hygiene Management
3. Girl Education
VLF helps in advocacy and creating awareness on how to encourage the girls to join school and also keep them in school. Find solutions to the problems hindering girls from being in school. VLF encourages information sharing and Networking.

4. Leadership & Governance
Mentorship – VLF mentors girls on leadership skills so as to become good leaders. VLF benchmarks on the knowledge and experience of successful people in society to mentor youth and minors to enable them acquire the basic skills like self-esteem & confidence, Personal branding, visionary approaches among others to increase their capacity to succeed in life.
